A number of players had outstanding outings in vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 which resulted in many new records being set and earlier ones being broken. Here we list down some of the most notable of these feats which took place in the toughest season of kabaddi yet.

1. Naveen Kumar breaks Super 10 record in MVP winning season

Naveen Kumar scored 22 Super 10s in Season 7.

Playing just his second vivo Pro Kabaddi season, Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Naveen Kumar managed to write his name in the record books by scoring 22 Super 10s in a single season, surpassing Pardeep Narwal’s record of 19 from Season 5. Naveen played 23 matches for Dabang Delhi K.C. in the season and managed a Super 10 in all but one match. Naveen also set the record for the most consecutive Super 10s in a season, which now stands at 21.

2. Pawan Sehrawat’s highest raid points in a single game

Pawan Sehrawat scored 39 raid points in a single match.

After coming close on a few occasions, Pawan Sehrawat finally managed to break Pardeep Narwal’s record of the highest individual score by a raider in a single match when he scored 39 raid points against Haryana Steelers in Match 118. The ‘Hi-Flyer’ took only 38 raids to reach the mark and was tackled only once in the entire match while putting in only a single empty raid. This was also the only occasion in vivo Pro Kabaddi history where only one raider from a team scored all their raid points in a match.

3. Suraj Desai scores the most points by a debutant

Suraj Desai scored 18 raid points on debut for Telugu Titans.

Debuting against Dabang Delhi K.C. in Match 8, Suraj Desai managed to break his younger brother Siddharth Desai’s record of 15 points on debut by scoring 18 and became the highest scoring debutant in the history of the league so far. Suraj took 15 raid attempts to reach the mark and was not tackled a single time by Dabang Delhi K.C.’s defence. He also put in a remarkable 4-point Super Raid in his debut match to showcase his potential of putting in big raids.

4. Three raiders cross the 300-point mark

Pawan Sehrawat and Pardeep Narwal both crossed the 300-raid point mark in Season 7.

While Season 5 of vivo Pro Kabaddi saw the first time a raider went past the 300-raid point mark, Season 7 proved to be three times as impressive with three raiders managing to cross the mark. While defenders dominated a large part of the season, some raiders oozed class and brilliance to show what they are made of. While Pardeep Narwal became the first raider to reach the mark twice, Pawan Sehrawat reached there for the first time in his career and Naveen Kumar’s 18-raid point performance in the final saw him finish with 301 raid points and become the youngest player to reach the mark.

5. Pardeep Narwal wins the race to 1000-raid points

‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal became the first to cross 1000 raid points in vivo Pro Kabaddi.

The race to reach 1000-raid points between ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal and ‘Showman’ Rahul Chaudhari highlighted Season 7 from before its start and it was ultimately Pardeep who managed to reach there first against Tamil Thalaivas in Match 83. The ‘Record-Breaker’ currently sits on 1160 raid points and, while Chaudhari has reached the 1000 overall points mark in this season, is the only raider to have more than 1000 raid points to his name so far.
