Week 3 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 had a bit of it all, starting from record-breaking feats to thrilling ties and stunning comebacks. Some matches were won by individual brilliance, while others witnessed the entire team pulling their weight in games that went down to the wire. However, here are five moments that stood out from the Patna leg of the ongoing season.

1. ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal claims another century

Pardeep ‘Record-Break’ Narwal well and truly lived up to his moniker by becoming the first player to breach the 900 raid-point barrier. The star raider was back to his brilliant best against Haryana Steelers despite coming off on the wrong side of the result. He scored 14 raid points in the contest, including a Super Raid and seems to have hit top gear, which is an ominous sign for opposition defenders for the rest of the season.

2. Hi-Flyer’ Pawan Sehrawat’s magnificent performance against Bengal Warriors

A colossal individual effort by Pawan ‘Hi-Flyer’ Sehrawat saw him light up the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna with an astonishing effort against Bengal Warriors. In a season where the defenders have been successful in stopping raiders from scoring big in games, Sehrawat delivered one of the finest raiding performances ever and finished the contest against Bengal Warriors with a match-winning career-high 29 raid points, which is also the third-highest individual score in VIVO Pro Kabaddi history.

3. Bengaluru Bulls’ late spate of Super Tackles

If Sehrawat’s performance against Bengal Warriors showed us the effectiveness of a superstar in full flight, Bengaluru Bulls’ win against Telugu Titans demonstrated what a well-organized team is capable of. Despite already having a substantial lead, the manner in which Bengaluru Bulls’ defenders refused to be All-Out in the closing stages of the game was a sight to behold. They registered four Super Tackles in quick succession late on to deny Telugu Titans and finished the contest with a total of six Super Tackles – the most any team this season.

4. Ajay Thakur proves his fighting spirit yet again

Ajay ‘Iceman’ Thakur’s cool and composed manner seems to be rubbing off on the rest of his teammates. Regardless of whether it’s a supporting role or the main protagonist, the Tamil Thalaivas skipper was in the thick of things in the Patna leg. After Tamil Thalaivas overturned a half-time deficit to beat Haryana Steelers in a manner that typified Thakur’s fighting spirit, the man himself took centerstage with a sensational buzzer raid to tie with U.P Yoddha.

5. Dabang Delhi K.C. end Jaipur Pink Panthers' winning run

Jaipur Pink Panthers’ winning start to the season was finally halted in the Patna leg by Dabang Delhi K.C., who finish the third leg of the season as table-toppers. The Season 1 champions won their opening four matches of the campaign, but they were troubled by Dabang Delhi K.C.’s raiding duo of Naveen Kumar and Chandran Ranjit on the night. A nine-point win for Dabang Delhi K.C. also meant that Jaipur Pink Panthers didn’t receive any point and put them ahead of the Season 1 winners by a point in the standings.
