The Jaipur leg in vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 may have come to an end, but it gave us more than its fair share of memories to cherish. Last-minute finishes, stunning Super Raids, changes at the league summit and an elusive victory for the hosts were just a few of takeaways from the Pink City. Here’s a closer look at the top five moments from the Jaipur leg.

1. Jaipur Pink Panthers finally snap winless streak

Jaipur Pink Panthers beat Puneri Paltan for their only win of their home leg.

After a nine-match winless streak, Jaipur Pink Panthers finally picked up a much-needed victory against Puneri Paltan. The victory, however, was the only one that they managed during their home leg but it propelled them to within a point of the top 6. They finished their home leg with nine points out of a possible 20.

2. Amit Sheoran’s buzzer raid ankle-hold

Amit Sheoran’s ankle hold helped Bengaluru Bulls tie with Dabang Delhi K.C.

One of the best encounters of the leg featured Dabang Delhi K.C. taking on Bengaluru Bulls in what turned out to be a nail-biting thriller. Dabang Delhi K.C. had a three-point lead in the final two minutes and were favourites to win. Bengaluru Bulls though had other ideas and showed why they are the defending champions by scoring three unanswered points to tie the match. Amit Sheoran’s clinical ankle hold in the buzzer raid was the difference-maker as the reigning champions rallied late on to tie the match.

3. The ‘Record-Breaker’ keeps living up to his name

Pardeep Narwal finished the Jaipur leg as the leading raid points scorer of the season.

Despite enduring a tough campaign with Patna Pirates, ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down and is currently the leading raid points (243) scorer this season. The Patna Pirates skipper had already become the first player to cross 1000 raid points in the league earlier this campaign, but he wasn’t done yet. His 19-raid points effort against Dabang Delhi K.C. didn’t just see him become the first to breach the 1100 raid points mark, but also made him the first player to reach 50 Super Raids in the league.

4. Vijay five-point game-changer

Amit Sheoran’s last-second ankle-hold helped Bengaluru Bulls tie with Dabang Delhi K.C. in Jaipur.

The standout moment from the same match that saw Pardeep reach the aforementioned milestones, however, came from the Dabang Delhi K.C.’s camp. Patna Pirates were well on top with a six-point lead to protect with six minutes left on the clock. A sensational five-pint Super Raid by Vijay though changed the complexion of the game as Dabang Delhi K.C. rallied late on to register a tense four-point victory.

5. ‘Baahubali’ closes the Jaipur leg in style

Siddharth Desai scored 22 raid points in the last match of the Jaipur leg.

‘Baahubali’ Siddharth Desai drew the curtains on the Jaipur leg in style, albeit at the expense of the home side. Unstoppable on the night, Siddharth scored 13 of Telugu Titans’ 17 first half points before going on to finish with 22 raid points. He was tackled just twice in the game and was a constant threat to defenders as Jaipur Pink Panthers’ beleaguered defence struggled to cope.
