The second leg of VIVO Pro Kabaddi concluded on Thursday leaving spectators with a host of brilliant moments to remember. From Fazel Atrachali’s perfect display in defence to Siddharth Desai etching his name in VIVO Pro Kabaddi lore, the Sonepat leg was full of outstanding bits of kabaddi from the game’s best players. We list down the most noteworthy moment here.

1. Desai fastest to 50

With his 14th point in the match against Haryana Steelers, rookie raider Siddharth Desai broke the VIVO Pro Kabaddi record for least games taken to reach 50 Raid Point. He reached 50 points in just four games, doing it a game quicker than Anup Kumar did in Season 1 for U Mumba. The youngster has been a star for U Mumba and the franchise will hope that keeps breaking records throughout the campaign.

2. Sehrawat sizzles on the mat again

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat announced himself with a 20-point performance against Tamil Thalaivas in Bengaluru Bulls’ first game this season. The raider followed that up with another awe-inducing performance against the same opponents, scoring 16 this time, leading his team’s perfect start this campaign. Sehrawat has clocked 36 points in two games, at a league-high average of 18. He also leads league with four Super Raids this campaign, twice as many as the next best tally. Sehrawat has put himself into early contention for Best Raider in Season 6 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi.

3. Seventh wonder for Atrachali

U Mumba captain Fazel Atrachali put in a memorable performance against Haryana Steelers, when the two teams met each other for the first time this season, scoring seven tackle points in the match. What was more impressive was the fact that Atrachali managed his seven tackle points in just seven attempts, clocking a 100% success rate. His timing and decisiveness were impeccable on the day as he led his team to a 27-point victory.

4. A leg to remember for Mighani

Telugu Titans Right Corner Abozar Mohajermighani was outstanding in defence in the Sonepat leg for his side. In their victory over U.P. Yoddha, he scored a High 5 including a Super Tackle. In his team’s narrow defeat against Bengal Warriors in the following match, he repeated the feat, managing a High 5 along with his second Super Tackle of the season while finishing as the second highest scorer for his team in that match. With two High 5s in two games, Mighani was an absolute stalwart for Telugu Titans in Sonepat.

5. Tomar’s twenty

Puneri Paltan star raider, Nitin Tomar has been outstanding for them this season managing 64 points in 5 games so far. The game against Dabang Delhi K.C. saw him score 20 raid points in what was a titanic performance. Getting those points from just 23 raids, Tomar was incisive on the day. With his tally, Tomar is currently second on the Best Raider list and with performances like this, it won’t take him long to get to the top.
