Elite Retained Players: How does it work?
Ahead of the PKL 12 player auction, each team could retain a maximum of six players across various categories.

Existing New Young Players and Retained Young Players: Who are they?
Teams retained a combined total of 58 players from the Existing New Young Players (NYP) and Retained Young Players (RYP) categories ahead of the PKL Season 12 Player Auction.

According to the updated FBM rule, teams can retain a player for either one or two seasons to support long-term team building and greater team continuity. Previously, the FBM rule allowed teams to retain a player for only one season.
How does the new FBM rule work?
When a former player secures a top bid from another franchise, their previous team can raise either the one-season or two-season FBM card to retain them.

For the PKL Season 12 Player Auction, each team can use up to 3 FBMs, except UP Yoddhas, who are eligible for 2 FBMs. The FBM card can be used based on the number of players retained ahead of the auction.
