The Season 6 champions were one of the strong teams in the recent season. The decision of making Mahender Singh the captain of the team did the trick for the Bulls who took them to the Playoffs. Bengaluru Bulls’ journey was similar to what it was in Season 8 as their season came to an end with an exit in the semi-final. Having young players in the squad was one of the biggest strengths of this side who gave their 100 % for the team. Under the guidance of Randhir Singh, Mahender Singh showcased his leadership skills as a full-time captain for the first time in vivo Pro Kabaddi.

The Bulls were off to a wonderful start in the 9th edition of vivo PKL in Bengaluru. They were unbeaten in five out of the seven matches they played in front of the local fans. They continued the momentum in the second leg and bagged five wins after some close contests in Pune. They were seen putting pressure on their opposition which helped them to stay in the top three of the standings. They looked a bit sluggish in the final leg in Hyderabad but managed to finish in third place at the end of the league stage. They were at their best to win the Eliminator quite comfortably but were beaten all ends up in the Semi-final to bid adieu to the tournament.

Bharat was a bankable raider for Bengaluru Bulls who came up with 279 raid points. He put on a stellar show on a constant basis and emerged as a top raider for the team. The experience of Vikash Kandola came in handy who amassed 135 raid points. He gave good support to Bharat and proved his mettle for the Bulls. Neeraj Narwal was among the key players for the Bulls in the Season 9 campaign. He added good value to the side by contributing in both departments with 92 raid points and 23 tackle points. The all-rounder, Sachin Narwal also made his presence felt with 38 raid points.

As far as defence was concerned, Saurabh Nandal looked solid for the Bulls who chipped in with 72 tackle points. He kept the opposition raiders quiet and helped the raiders to get revived early. Nandal was complimented well by the right corner Aman who earned 60 tackle points to his credit. These two corners did the bulk of the scoring in the defence for the Bulls. Captain Mahender Singh accompanied the two corners with 44 tackle points to his tally.

The team played as a unit under the leadership of Mahender Singh and it turned out to be one of the best seasons for the Bengaluru Bulls. The Bulls put on a dominating show with their all-round effort which helped them to have a memorable vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 journey.
