We are watching Pink Panthers closely

It is certainly an exciting time to be a kabaddi fan. Most matches have gone down to the wire giving the crowd an adrenaline rush. Every team in the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League has superstars who are able to show what they can do in the ring on a regular basis.

We have made it to the semifinals which is fantastic. The match against Bengaluru Bulls may have been a squash for all intents and purposes, but it was so well executed by both teams that it was certainly in contention for the match of the week. Aggressiveness and quick reflexes is central to the persona of Sandeep Narwal, and having the arena surrounded by other raiders allowed that trait to take centre stage. There has been an aura around Narwal and he only added to it with his performance on one of the biggest stages in kabaddi. The team performed exceptionally well. It was a crucial match and I am glad we ended up as the winners.

It is a pleasure to watch youngsters at their best despite the fact that I had to miss my last match and was not there to guide them.

I have a minor injury and I am going through the treatment. Hopefully, I should be fit for the semis. We will hopefully face Jaipur Pink Panthers in the semifinal which is an unpredictable team. We have played them twice and while we won one, we lost the other. We will watch Jaipur Pink Panthers inaction so as to form a strategy and game plan to execute when we play them next.

This stage of the tournament is going to be an intense affair and mental toughness will decide who will move up. We as a team are combining well and every player is fulfilling their role. I being the captain of the team keep motivating everyone to enjoy their game and not think too much about winning or losing as it is all part and parcel of the game.
