After an unbelievably rewarding five week voyage, we're back only literally where we started. The Sardar Vallabhai Patel in Mumbai, where, U Mumba take on the Jaipur Pink Panthers. An amazing coincidence that the opening match of the historic Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League, as well as the final match, features the same two teams. This time, of course, it's for the elegant silverware and the winner's purse. Most will admit, these are the toughest two teams in this inaugural season. We are guaranteed an epic clash; a fitting finale.

Home advantage has emerged as a serious factor. Unlike many other 'silence please' sports, kabaddi has always had extremely involved, raucous fans.

So, with the home support firmly behind them, U Mumba should be the favourites. Not quite. Both teams have a fabulous, powerful defensive unit; a factor the raiders of both teams will be very wary of. I see it as a watchful, cat and mouse, strategic final with both aware that, discretion is the better part of valour. It may be low scoring, but it will be a close tense affair.

I have to end by stepping aside from the two big contests on the final day, and expressing a profound sense of satisfaction. Thanks to the players, fans and the media for your support!
